- Summary
- This study quantifies exposure and impacts to dairy farms from extreme sea level events and relative sea level rise. The number of farms impacted by a 500 versus a 10-year ESL is only 5% greater with 1m of RSLR and 37% greater at 0m RSLR. This shows that the driving force behind increasing exposure to coastal inundation is RSLR not event intensity or frequency.. We expect severe impacts to many farms that were previously only experienced during infrequent ESL events to occur regularly.
