- Trials were established beside the Kaikorai Estuary near Dunedin in September 1990 to test whether leptocarpus rushes could be successfully re-established by replanting. The trials were set up as part of work being done by Royds Garden Ltd, for the Dunedin City Council. Details of the trial and earlier results were included in my reports of February 1991, August 1991, and December 1991. The present report notes further observations made on 5 June 1992; it should be read in conjunction with the earlier reports.
