- Trials to test whether leptocarpus rushes could be successfully re-established by replanting were established beside the Kaikorai Estuary near Dunedin in September 1990. The trials have been set up as part of work being done by Royds Garden Ltd, for the Dunedin City Council. Details of the trial and earlier results were included in my reports of February 1991, and August 1991. The present report notes further observations made on 19 December 1991; it should be read in conjunction with the earlier reports.
