- The differentiation of the genera Anaplectus de Coninck and Schuurmans Stekhoven, 1933 and Plectus Bastian, 1865 is discussed. Anaplectus arenicola n. sp. is described from specimens collected from sand dunes at Nelson, New Zealand. It is distinguised from all other species in the genus by the possession of narrow, slit-like amphid apertures.
