- The current District Plan came into effect in 2000, and despite ongoing revisions and changes it needs an update. The District Plan review looks at the major planning and environmental issues facing Wellington. This includes: housing supply, choice, and affordability protecting biodiversity growth and infrastructure responding to climate change managing the risk of natural hazards.
