- Summary
- Dolichodorus arenarius n. sp. is described from about the roots of Desmoschoenus spiralis Hook. f. growing upon low coastal dunes at Kumara Beach, Westland. The new species is characterised by the presence of 8 head annules, 4 incisures with the median lateral field marked by incomplete striae, a rounded tail in the female and the presence of a fringe of short spinules on the posterior margin of the median lobe of the caudal bursa. A key to the species of Dolichodorus Cobb is given.
